Our Mission

Administrators of Volunteer Resources-Saskatchewan is an association that unites administrators of volunteer resources to promote best practice support professional development, facilitate networking and advocate for the profession and it's impact in the province.

About Us

We are a professional organization with province wide influence in the voluntary sector.

Our membership is made up of more than 50 members who work with a variety of programs throughout the province.

We work in many types of programs including:
  • recreational
  • spiritual
  • cultural
  • community health
  • social service
  • educational

GOALS OF AVR-SK:

  • To provide leadership for administrators of volunteer resources
  • To promote professional development in the administration
    of volunteer resources
  • To promote the impact of the voluntary sector through education, communication and collaborations.

Volunteer Resources Take On A New Face In Saskatchewan: AVR-SK

 

       In September 2009, Volunteer Management Group of Saskatoon(VMG) and Saskatchewan Health Care Volunteer Management Association (SHCVMA) merged to form the Administrators of Volunteer Resources – Saskatchewan

       What a monumental moment for Saskatchewan!  One voice representing the administration of Volunteer Resources

       AVR-SK is committed to:

  • Professionalism which includes competency, honesty, integrity, the pursuit of excellence, respect, credibility and growth.
  • Collaboration which encompasses support, solidarity, standardization and team players.
  •  Leadership to include current, empowerment, engagement and the exchange of ideas
  • Diversity
  • Accountability

      Saskatchewan has always been a place where new things evolve and become the norm throughout the country.  It will be interesting to see, follow and be a part of this new association as its leads the business of volunteer resources into the future.

The 2010 CAVR Annual Conference cohosted by NLAVR will be held May 30th to June 1st, 2010  in St. John's NL. It's time to make plans to attend!
